Meet Our Team
Eddie Sampson is a Northern Virginia native who visited Shepherdstown on a cycling trip in 2003 and fell in love with Shepherdstown and the surrounding area. He has been an avid cyclist since his college days and has always been an advocate of a lifestyle of fitness that is also fun.
In 2007 he realized his lifelong dream of opening a shop promoting two of his favorite things - pedaling and paddling. He graduated from Radford University in 1983 with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and currently balances his duties as shop owner with his job at the U.S. Capitol working under the Sergeant of Arms.
Hannah Beahm is also a Northern Virginia native and assists in managing the shop. She is a graduate of George Mason University with Bachelors in Business Management and Accounting and has received her CPA accreditation in 2011.
Hannah also has been an avid cyclist since she was a teenager and currently works at Golden Rule Builders in Fauquier County, Virginia.
Leslie Carter is also a Shepherdstown local and a graduate from Shepherd University. On top of being a valuable team member at Pedal & Paddle, she volunteers with the National Park Service to assist with the C&O Canal and has a passion for preserving the local history and the environment.
Jason McConoughey is a local Shepherdstown resident and brings a natural talent for mechanics, a willing attitude, and a quick smile to our team here at Pedal & Paddle. You might find him doing bike maintenance in the repair shop or providing shuttle service up and down the Potomac River on a hot summer day.
